German Village LGBTQ Anniversary Session: Erin + Jenn

It’s Valentine’s Day, the day of LOVE! So what better way to celebrate than to blog my recent anniversary session with Erin and Jenn? I met the two of them at Jill and Rob’s elopement this past May. As it turned out, we had tons of friends in common (got to see them again at Tori and Ben’s wedding in July!), so we became pretty quick friends. They were planning a wedding for September but already had a photographer booked. But we knew we wanted to work together eventually! So Erin and Jenn booked me for a session after their wedding, and we ended up shooting on their 3 year dating anniversary, January 22! It was a cold winter day when we met that Tuesday afternoon in German Village. We started at the Book Loft since they love to read, and Erin let me know that she had her senior photos taken there too. Pretty sure these were a little different! From there we walked around the book to get some shots in the neighborhood. I just loved shooting this session, these two are so goofy and full of laughs! If I couldn’t shoot their wedding, I’ll settle for all future anniversary sessions!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
