Columbus LGBTQ Winter Wedding at Watersedge: Candice + Erin

Candice and Erin were my last wedding of 2019, and the perfect way to end the year! (And also one of my first weddings booked for the year!) They had a sweet and cozy winter wedding at Watersedge Event Center. Though it was a cloudy day, all the winter elements, like the lanterns carried by bridesmaids in lieu of bouquets, the holiday lights, and the red and green touches, all brought the feel of the season throughout the day. The brides opted for a first look to get portraits out of the way before the ceremony while we still had plenty of daylight. I loved capturing their reactions to seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day! Their wedding parties joined for more portraits before we headed back inside for their ceremony. The rest of the day was spent celebrating with toasts, cake, dancing and some night shots. And before I left that, they gave ME a gift! It was honestly an honor to photograph the wedding of these two beautiful souls.

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
