2023 Year in Review! | Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographer

As another year has come to a close, I’m always excited for my annual look back! 2023 was a year of profound moments, both professional and personal. There were 31 weddings and elopements, 18 engagement sessions, 6 surprise proposals, 77 family/portrait sessions, 17 commercial sessions/events, 14 newborns, 2 mitzvahs and 3 high school seniors. My year began and ended with newborn sessions! There was so much to celebrate, from major milestones to just being together.

And then there was the personal: halfway through the year, right in the middle of the busy summer wedding season, I had a baby! And much earlier than expected. I only missed one wedding in all, which was excellently covered by my associate photographer. But beyond that, I was determined to make it to as many weddings as I felt well enough to get to, and I ended up making it to all the rest. Not saying everyone needs to return to work as quickly as I did, but I am proud of the work I did, with plenty of help and support!

In trying to take as much of a leave as I could, I did limit my bookings in the summer months, and I was back to full time by the busy fall season.

My travels this year took me all over Ohio, from Cleveland to Cincinnati and small towns in between.

And I had 10 weddings featured in several issues of 614 Magazine and Columbus Weddings Magazine! I was also at the Franklin Park Conservatory Wedding Showcase as a preferred vendor.

In October I celebrated my 13th year in business. It’s been a wild ride and I am so lucky and honored to get to call this my job! I am endlessly thankful to my clients and followers who make it possible with all of their support!

Here is one photo from every wedding/event/session I photographed in 2023!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
