Cleveland Ohio LGBTQ+ Micro Wedding: Jennifer + Daria

Jennifer + Daria, married in Cleveland! It was the first Saturday in October, and with the threat of rain they moved their 10 person ceremony indoors, to their Shaker Heights home. At their home, they got ready together, did portraits in their backyard when the rain cleared, and joined their loved ones in their cozy living room for their ceremony.

From there, we dodged on-and-off sideways rain for portraits at the Italian Cultural Gardens, the Public Library and a couple unplanned spots in between. From the east side suburbs to downtown, we pivoted, used umbrellas, dried off and laughed all afternoon. (Also worth mentioning: Jennifer wore her great-grandmother’s veil from 1915!) We even caught a little light peaking through the clouds at the end!

You can’t control the weather, but you can embrace it. Congratulations to the brides!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
