Rounding out my trip to the Bay Area was meeting up with Katya + Ilya for their engagement session! Before she moved out to the west coast, Katya was a good friend of mine here in Ohio. But now she calls California home, and that’s where she met Ilya too. So it made perfect sense to shoot there during my visit! And now my friends are my clients too.
Katya and Ilya chose to shoot where they got engaged – in Sausalito, a small waterfront town full of houseboats. And ahead of our session, I identified a scenic spot nearby with an epic view of the Golden Gate Bridge, so we ended our session there at sunset. That golden hour light, those views, everything about it was what California dreams are made of – at least for this midwestern girl.
Excited to see these two in Wisconsin – also a new place for me – for their wedding this fall!
