Okay, 2021! What a chaotic and beautiful year. Recovering from a very jarring, lopsided and a bit traumatic previous year, 2021 had moments of uncertainty, normalcy and lots of catching up from time lost, which resulted in some very, very busy times. Wedding-wise, there were still some reschedules and cancellations (not so lovely), and many elopements and micro weddings continued (very lovely!). And for many of my clients, they were finally getting to celebrate after postponing from 2020. Some clients had postponed several times! So when we celebrated, we celebrated! It was thrilling to be a part of it all, the beauty and the madness!
A look at the numbers: This year had 35 weddings, 102 portrait sessions, 26 engagement sessions, 16 surprise proposals, 3 mitzvahs and 10 corporate shoots. I’m pretty sure that adds up to one of the busiest, if not *the* busiest, years ever! And 2022 is already shaping up to be busier…
I also had the opportunity to travel this year! I traveled to Tacoma, WA for Kara + Kayla’s engagement in September, and then to Orlando, FL for Sara + Jen’s wedding (number 2)! These experiences were truly unforgettable.
But a true highlight of the year was getting vaccinated. That was a game-changer for myself and so many of my clients planning their weddings. Many of my clients required all their wedding guests to be vaccinated.
Looking forward to even more beauty and chaos in 2022! And more travel, too!
