Cleveland Ohio Orthodox Jewish Wedding: Robyn + Zach

Robyn + Zach came in all the way from California for their Ohio wedding day, and brought in a little bit of that fun and free west coast spirit to their celebration! Ever since meeting them earlier that spring at Robyn’s brother’s wedding, I’ve been really looking forward to their big day!

It was the first Sunday in August, when I headed up to Cleveland for their big day. It was hot and a little rainy, but we made the best of it! At their venue La Malfa, we found a break in the rain for a quick outdoor first look. We continued and got all their portraits out of the way before their wedding events began. From the kabbalat panim, to the tisch, to the bedeken, there was endless singing, laughter and energy! Their celebration continued with their chuppah ceremony, and onto the reception for lots of dancing and shtick!

Later on, the rain cleared and the sun came out. So of course, I had to steal the newlyweds for some sunset photos right after dinner. Mazel Tov!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
