Their wedding was postponed from June 2020. Finally, last month, Lindsay + Nathan were married! Waiting all that extra time made the day that much more meaningful for all.
It was the first Sunday in August, when I headed downtown to Strongwater Food & Spirits to join them on their big day. I have known Lindsay for many years, after meeting her at Rachel + Ben’s surprise proposal back in 2015! Years later, she thought of me to capture her wedding, and guess who was the rabbi? None other than Ben himself! A full circle moment indeed.
The day started with a little sprinkle, but soon that cleared just in time for the events to begin. After getting dressed, Lindsay and Nate opted to do a first in their venue’s courtyard, just the two of them, and they followed that by an exchange of letters. Afterwards, we joined their wedding party and immediate family for portraits out on Rich Street!
We returned to Strongwater for their Ketubah signing, just before their Jewish ceremony out in the courtyard. Against the industrial backdrop and beneath a canopy of vines, they were married under the chuppah. After waiting over a year to make it official, it was an emotional moment when it all came together. Lots of happy tears to go around!
Celebrating continued with dinner, toasts, cake and a hora! And of course, we escaped the party for sunset photos and later, a quick night shot. Mazel Tov to these two!! I had a blast with you two and all your people, all day!
