Columbus Senior Session at Grange Insurance Audubon Center + Scioto Mile: Katie

A few years back when I shot Katie’s bat mitzvah, she asked “will you take my senior photos too?!” So last month’s session was a few years in the making! We met up on a lovely Wednesday evening in early August for her senior session, beginning at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, and ending at Scioto Mile. We had clouds in the sky as we got started, and all Katie wanted was that golden hour light! Thankfully it emerged about halfway into her session, and we kept chasing it till the end. I loved catching up with her and her mom, hearing about what she’s been up to and what she’s doing next. Following my clients on their life journeys is the best part of what I do!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
