Columbus Ohio Micro Wedding:
Shannon + Chris

Their North Carolina wedding was moved to next year, but Shannon + Chris married here in Columbus, in a backyard ceremony with 7 guests, 1 pup, and many more via Zoom. This downsized micro celebration still had plenty of love, excitement and meaning. They heard of me through Ann + Connor, who were in attendance (and who also had to postpone their wedding to next year), and I’m so grateful!

On a lovely Saturday evening in mid-August, I met up with Shannon + Chris at her parents’ home in Worthington. After getting dressed, their ceremony followed, married by their close friend against a backdrop of hanging lanterns. Guests greeted the newlyweds with bubbles, before we escaped down the road for some portraits in Old Worthington. There we encountered all the golden hour light we could handle, and it was gorgeous!

We then returned home, where we celebrated with toasts, cake, and first dances under strung lights. Congratulations to Shannon + Chris, it was a true pleasure being a part of your micro wedding here in Columbus!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
