Melissa and Tracey planned their German Village wedding exactly as they wanted! It was a chilly morning that third Saturday in March as Melissa arrived with her family to begin setting up chairs at the stage in Schiller Park. Once Tracey arrived, I took the two of them out for some portraits together. Despite the cooler temps, it was nice and sunny, which made for a pleasant time in the park.
Guests were greeted with a glass of wine as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Their small, intimate ceremony on the Schiller Park stage was short, sweet and meaningful. Each bride was escorted down the aisle by both parents, and their ceremony was officiated by their good friend. And it was witnessed by a few strangers! (One of my prior clients later told me they saw the ceremony while on a walk in the park!)
Following their ceremony, we headed to the Arena District for additional “just married” portraits there, stopped for a drink at a bar, and then the brides celebrated with their guests with lunch at Buca Di Beppo. I was only with them for a few hours that day, but the celebration continued throughout the day at some of their favorite places in town! Congratulations to Melissa and Tracey!!
