Jaclyn + Lindsey: Columbus Ohio LGBTQ+ Wedding at North Bank Park Pavilion

Jaclyn + Lindsey’s downtown Columbus wedding was on a hot summer Friday afternoon in early July. My assistant Steve joined me for the day, but we started separately; He started with Lindsey at their Short North home, and I started with Jaclyn getting ready at the Joseph hotel, also in the Short North. As Jaclyn and Lindsey did not want to see each other before the ceremony, they stayed separated throughout their preparation time and we even did a few portraits beforehand with their wedding party attendants. Their respective Short North locations provided great backdrops!

Both sides came together for their wedding celebration, down the street at North Bank Park. Their ceremony took place in the green space close to the pavilion, overlooking the downtown skyline. We followed that with tons of portraits, then the party continued at the pavilion! Their wedding details were natural and rustic, a wonderful compliment to the industrial look of the space. In fact, many of the details, including their ceremony backdrop, were made by the couple themselves! Dinner was provided by a number of different food trucks, and dessert came in the form of Pistacia Vera cookies and a J-Pops popsicle stand!

Dancing continued into the evening out on the patio and as the sun set, I couldn’t resist taking Lindsey and Jaclyn out for a few more pictures against the golden hour light. As two people who moved here from Florida but now call Columbus home, I would say their wedding represented C-bus well! Congratulations to these two!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
