Columbus Ohio Jewish Wedding at Jeffrey Mansion: Anna + Jonathan

A fall Jewish wedding at Jeffrey Mansion… Anna + Jonathan’s big day had all the elements of a sweet and perfect day! Colors, light, setting, temps, setting and company! With so many familiar faces and at one of my favorite locations in town (and where I basically live for much of the fall season), it really felt like hanging with friends in my backyard more than working.

It was the first Saturday of November, and we began our day getting ready at separate locations, and we came together at their venue, Jeffrey Mansion, for the First Look. Against the late fall trees, lingering color and sunshine, we took advantage of the setting for the ultimate fall portraits. Together with their wedding party and their family, we took it all in! And got all the portraits out of the way before the sun set, and the events began.

Wedding events kicked off with a cocktail hour first (love that!), with a ketubah signing and bedeken at the end, just before the ceremony. Under a gorgeous fall-inspired chuppah, Anna and Jonathan were married surrounded by their family and closest friends. Their celebration continued right away, with first dances, toasts, dinner, cake and a Hora of course! We ended the day with some epic night shots beneath the strung lights. Mazel Tov!!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
