We photographed their engagement session last fall, and almost a year to the day, we celebrated the marriage of Elizabeth + Richie! Their big day at The Kitchen in German Village was laid back and focused on togetherness. And actually, Elizabeth and Richie were married in a tiny ceremony earlier the week, so this was purely a celebration! We still did all the things, just skipped the details and there was no ceremony.
I began my day with Elizabeth at the Hilton Downtown as she got dressed. Then Richie met us out on the skywalk for their first look! From there, we headed to Schiller Park for portraits, of just the two of them, and later, their families joined. It was a nice overcast day and the park was full of fall color! There was a threat of rain but it never came down on us. I do think it kept the crowds away though, we felt like we had the park to ourselves!
Finally, we arrived at their venue The Kitchen for celebration to begin. Events kicked off with a cocktail hour, and then their reception, with dinner, toasts, first dances, some more photos around the block, and lots of dancing. We ended the day with some epic night shots! Cheers to celebrating your way, congrats Elizabeth and Richie!
