Franklin Park Conservatory Elopement: Alie + Robert

Alie + Robert are high school sweethearts that even went to prom together. Does it get sweeter than that? For their wedding, they decided to do it their way – elope at Franklin Park Conservatory! On the last Wednesday afternoon in April, it was just the two of them, myself, their officiant Windi at Run to an Elopement, in a room full of plants in the Historic Palm House. As they exchanged vows and rings, they were married in the most picturesque setting in exactly the way they wanted.

Afterwards, we took our time to explore every inch of the Conservatory for portraits! From the West Terrace and spring tulip gardens, to the Butterfly exhibit and desert exhibit, we saw it all and everything in between. Rarely do I have enough time on a typical wedding day to take advantage of all the various spaces at the Conservatory! I absolutely loved spending the afternoon with Alie + Robert and capturing their special day!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
