The sweetest, most cheery wedding! Beasy + Chip truly made their big day their own in every way. They had a Star Wars-themed, yellow, sunflower, Disney-inspired wedding at the Columbus Zoo! With lots of animal photobombs!
It was the second Saturday in September, when my assistant Steve and I began our day at Beasy’s parents home in Dublin. After everyone was dressed, gifts were exchanged and a few tears already shed, we staged their first look in the backyard.
From there we headed straight to the zoo for portraits! With just Beasy and Chip, we visited some of their favorite exhibits, including the carousel, penguins, manatees & stingrays, cheetahs, giraffes and more. We then met up with their wedding party at their venue, the Heart of Africa Event Center. There the giraffes joined in many of the pictures as well!
At their ceremony, they exchanged vows, rings were delivered by droids, and giraffes continued to overlook it all. And more animal encounters followed, with a sloth, penguin, owl and armadillo! The celebration continued into the reception, with dinner, toasts, cake cutting and first dances. And then it was time to party! We ended the night with some epic Star Wars-inspired night shots! This day was pure joy from beginning to end!!
