On tough days, I’m lucky that I still get to stare at beautiful people in their happiest moments and call that work. Recently I was fortunate to meet Lauren + Viengsamai, who hired me to photograph their engagement session. They haven’t figured out their wedding plans yet, but there was no reason not to celebrate being engaged! These two definitely wanted a spring session with colorful blooms, and we made it to Goodale Park right when their magnolias blossoms peaked. These blooms are sometimes the hardest to get – they easily succumb to a cold spell – and as it turns out, this ended up being my only session there this season. We had the most perfect spring evening, with warm temps and gorgeous golden hour light. Towards the end of our time together, we crossed the street and got a few shots in the Short North neighborhood. I loved meeting these two and capturing this special time for them!
