Every time someone tells me “it’s an ugly time of year for photos!” I’m going to send them the link to this blog post. Because, no. Winter is gorgeous! Especially when you have that magic snow + sun combo. At Piao + Isaiah’s weekday micro wedding earlier this month, we had a winter wonderland!
It was a Tuesday afternoon in early February, when I met up with the bride and groom at the Park of Roses. Snow and sun everywhere! We started our time together with a first look by the gazebo. We continued with portraits before their ceremony by the wooden arbor. Yes, an outdoor ceremony in February! About 20 close family and friends (and many more on Zoom) joined us for their snowy micro ceremony. They incorporated some culture elements from each side: The number 8 is the luckiest number in Chinese culture, so they were married at 3:58pm on the 8th day of the month! And keeping with Jewish tradition, they together they broke the glass at the end.
And then we ended our time together with group portraits and a few golden hour portraits before they headed to dinner to celebrate!
Mazel Tov to Piao + Isaiah!
