Fredericktown Ohio LGBTQ Wedding: Ashley + Erin

Mid-October is one of my favorite times of the entire year… and Ashley + Erin must have known something was special about it too! Their fall wedding on the third Saturday in October incorporated all the elements of the season mixed with that laid-back, small town vibe.

I traveled up to Fredericktown (my first time there!) that day, and we started the day at their home as Ashley and Erin got ready together. In particular, they wanted some candid photos with all their pups. These two met while playing roller derby, so I made sure to get a shot of their skates! Then we headed down the road to their venue, Mill Street Park, where the two helped each other get dressed and then we took some portraits! No first look for these two, since they got ready together, and I love that! We also got all their group photos out of the way.

Onto their ceremony, in the woods… what a dream! They were married by a close friend and there were lots of laughs throughout. And as it turns out, the officiant’s spouse is an old college friend of mine! Small world indeed, it was great to catch up!

Afterwards we celebrated with a first dance, toasts, a shoe game, sunset photos and plenty of dancing… and then capped everything off with night shots! Congratulations to Ashley and Erin! I absolutely loved being a part of your big day!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
