Shyam planned the perfect garden proposal on a Saturday evening in early May! At the picturesque Inniswood Gardens Metro Park in Westerville, I waited for him and Prabha to arrive at the location we selected. It also happened to be prom! So the park was packed full of high schoolers taking prom photos. Luckily, they cleared out of the space just in time for the big moment. They arrived dressed super fancy, and with flowers – Shyam had told Prabha they were going to have a photo shoot. He wasn’t lying! But first, he had to ask a very special question. She was completely surprised! And of course, she said YES!
Afterwards, we took some time to explore the rest of the park for portraits (where everyone thought they were also prom people!!) before saying “goodbye”… but the surprises weren’t over. From there we headed to Istanbul Cafe in Dublin, where their friends were waiting to celebrate! Many of them traveled a long way to be with them for this occasion. Congratulations to Shyam and Prabha!!
