Columbus Senior Portraits at Scioto Audubon Metro Park + German Village: Sophia

A couple of week ago, I photographed senior portraits for Sophia! My own daughter is also a Sophia so it was wild saying “Hey Soph, do this!” to an actual teenager who’s taller than me. And a reminder that it all goes by so fast?!

We met up on a lovely Thursday morning in mid-October, it was a sunny and mild and so beautiful. We started at Scioto Audubon Metro Park, loving all that morning light and the fall color. We spend the second half of our time together in German Village, starting at Frank Fetch Park and exploring the surrounding streets.

I loved chatting with Sophia about how things are in her world, how the pandemic has affected her school year and activities, and her future plans! I can’t wait to see what she does next!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
