I think Chloe + Mason were my first booked wedding for 2021! I was so impressed during our consultation when I learned that they came all the way down from Canton to meet me in person. For their engagement session, they knew two things: they wanted some pictures with their pup Darci, and they wanted to visit a sunflower field! So, we reserved time at the Patch on 37 for right at golden hour, but first we met up at nearby Rocky Fork Metro Park for some shots with the pup. Darci is truly a puppy, so she was full of energy and you had to be quick!
From there, it was onto the sunflower field! Can you believe in all my years of shooting (this is my 10th year!), I have never photographed in a sunflower field before? It almost happened a couple of times in past years, but this was my first official time there. Thanks to Chloe and Mason for finally making it happen for me! We were there right at golden hour as the sun set, casting this beautiful warm light at almost every turn. We picked some blooms along the way, and ended our time with some aerial shots from the bridge, followed by an epic sunset shot as we were on our way out.
It was a super fun night with these two! Can’t wait for their September 2021 wedding at the Columbus Zoo!
