Dan + Joe were added to my 2018 wedding calendar just a few months before their big day. I was so glad I was still available on their date! These two were such a pleasure to work with, and their Athletic Club of Columbus wedding was picturesque and full of love. A classic historic venue in the heart of downtown? Yes please!
Dan + Joe made things simple and kept all events on-site. In one of the venue’s hotel rooms, they got ready together and helped each other get dressed – which I absolutely loved. Then we ventured out to the nearby blocks for an hour of wedding portraits, just the two of them – how often do couples get this much time just to themselves on the wedding day? It was so lovely to have, before all the guests joined and events began.
After some family portraits, guests gathered for Dan and Joe’s ceremony in the main ballroom. Against the fireplace covered in florals and greenery, paired with the historic setting, the space couldn’t be more breathtaking.
Since we had completed all their portraits before the ceremony, Dan and Joe were free to enjoy cocktail hour and the rest of the evening with family and friends. After toasts and cake cutting, we ventured outside for some awesome night shots – and a surprise late night visit to the Ohio Statehouse thanks to guest with the hookup!
