It was a sunny Saturday afternoon in late July when Kyla arrived at Ohio Stadium with Jamie for what she thought was a stadium tour. With her family hiding, they walked upon the field where I greeted them, playing along as a staff photographer. Telling them they were the first of their group to arrive, I offered to take a quick shot of them before they walked unto the field.
Then Jamie led Kyla to the 50 yard line where suddenly he turned to look her in the eye, and at that moment she knew! He dropped to one knee, popped the question, and she said YES!
Cheers erupted from the stands as family came out from hiding. They joined Kyla and Jamie on the field where Jamie’s nephews showed off their signs, and a bottle of champagne was popped in celebration! Before saying goodbye, we took advantage of having the stadium to ourselves for a few more “just engaged” portraits.
