Noah’s New Albany Summer Wedding: Shanna + Rob

August was my busiest month of the year, and it was capped off in spectacular fashion with Shanna + Rob’s wedding at Noah’s in New Albany! I was so excited to photograph at this brand new venue to the area. As an added bonus, it’s just down the road from my house! Their wedding day packed as much fun as you could imagine, these two really know how to throw a party!

My assistant Chris joined me for the day, and we split up to cover each side equally as they got ready – myself with the girls, him with the guys. Shanna and Rob did not see each other until the ceremony, which was in the venue’s indoor/outdoor flex space.

After the ceremony, we took care of all the group portraits, and then myself and the couple took a little trip down the street to Creekside in Gahanna for some “just married” portraits! The space wasn’t very busy for a Saturday and the light was perfect.

Meanwhile, back at the venue, guests enjoyed a less traditional cocktail hour than we’re used to seeing at weddings: beer and wine tastings, and three different food trucks! At the reception, after formal dances, toasts and cake cutting, the band Naked Karate Girls took over, and the dance floor was packed and rockin’ all night long! We also escaped at one point during the evening for a killer night shot outside!

Shanna + Rob ended the night with a sparkler exit, and it felt like most of their guests were still there to participate! What an awesome time. Congratulations!!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
