Jen + John: Cleveland Ohio Summer Wedding at the Hyatt Arcade

Jen + John’s Cleveland Ohio wedding at the Hyatt Arcade was one I had been looking forward to for over a year! From the moment my friend Jen told me she had booked the Hyatt for her July 2015 wedding, I knew it was going to be amazing. Jen’s not only a friend but also a photographer herself! So the pressure was on 🙂 And her and John’s wedding day provided so many opportunities for amazing images!

We began at the Hyatt in downtown Cleveland, and Claire Goodfriend jumped in to assist for the day! Right away I made great use of the space for detail pictures, and once both sides were dressed, we staged their first look right in the walkway in the middle of the arcade. From there, we traveled with the wedding party to the Cultural Gardens, specifically the Hungarian portion. It was a hot afternoon, but everyone stuck it out and made use of the Spanish fans provided to the bridesmaids!

We returned to the Arcade for their ceremony, right on the steps in the center of the space. Such a great setting!! From there, guests enjoyed Spanish-inspired tastes, cake cutting, toasts, a lively hora and a rockin dance floor! Of course, Jen’s brother’s dance performance can’t be left unmentioned. Congratulations to Jen and John!!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
