Sara + Adam: Columbus Ohio Summer Wedding at Park of Roses + Creekside Gahanna

Sara + Adam are two of the sweetest people you could ever hope to call clients! They wanted a laid-back stress-free day. We accomplished Sara’s dream of having rose garden wedding portraits, and made it just before a surprise rain shower! These two did not let a little rain damper their day, they even went out for more portraits in the rain after the ceremony! I had the greatest time with them.

Our day started at the Vineyard Church in Columbus, where both sides prepped for the day. Adam, a huge soccer fan, had custom soccer jerseys made as groomsmen gifts, so the first thing we did was make sure we got some pics of them at a nearby soccer field! After both sides were dressed, we traveled to the Park of Roses for the first look and portraits. Though Sara and Adam value tradition, they also really wanted to take the anxiety and rush out of portrait time that so often happens when you try to accomplish everything during cocktail hour, plus, they wanted to travel to a rose garden. The first look was such a great idea for their wedding day, and plus, it rained for the rest of the day!

Just as we were wrapping up, we did get caught in some rain, but that made for some cute pictures as the wedding party made their way back, and also, we had some time for some cool shots in the limo! Back at the church, Sara took a moment to pray with her bridesmaids before heading down the aisle. After their ceremony, Sara and Adam exited in a sea of bubbles, and then we headed to Creekside for some more couples portraits in the rain!

The celebration was full of laughter and some wild dance moves! And a good cake smash to top it off! Thank you, Sara + Adam, for inviting me along to capture your big day!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
