Amy + Miles: Columbus Ohio Fall Wedding at Dock 580 / Hilton Downtown / Short North

Amy and Miles had a little sprinkle of rain on their wedding day in late October, but they did not that get in their way! Their wedding day was super laid back and we had lots of time for pictures! Shout out yet again to EcoFlora on those amazing flowers!

We started our day at the new Hilton in downtown Columbus, where Amy and Miles got ready – in fact, Amy helped Miles get dressed! They are such a laid back couple and I loved it! We had their first look in the skywalk over High Street between the Hilton and the Convention Center. I love that skywalk and had been dying to shoot a first look there! As it was sprinkling a bit of rain and was a bit cold out, we stayed indoors for our first round of pictures. Luckily the Hilton downtown is an amazing location for indoor pictures! We took some pictures around the block as well using my clear umbrella, and then headed down the street to Arch Park, where Amy and Miles decided to ditch the umbrella and embrace the misty air. One more indoor stop at the North Market, and then we ended at the location of the day’s wedding festivities – Dock 580.

I always love shooting weddings at Dock 580, such a great setting! Their ceremony was short and sweet – exactly 5 minutes long! – and after dinner and cake cutting, they wasted no time celebrating! Plenty of dancing and mustaches to go around. Congratulations to Amy and Miles!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
