Sam + Chris: Columbus Ohio Short North Engagement Session

Sam and Chris were prepping for their move from the Short North to the German Village – so while saying goodbye to the neighborhood they called home for the past several years, they chose it as the backdrop for their recent fall engagement! We started in Goodale Park with their pup Max. They rescued Max pretty recently, and he was so chill and agreeable! I love the look on his face when he looks straight into the camera – so regal! We dropped off Max at their place, had a quick outfit change, and we explored the Short North neighborhood. You know, I can shoot a million engagement shoots here, and they never look the same! I never tire of this place. I love the Short North neighborhood and it especially shines on a fall evening with beautiful light. I am so excited for Sam and Chris’ wedding next summer – but first up is her sister Steffi, whose wedding I’m shooting in February!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
