Asheley + Brian: Youngstown Ohio Summer Wedding Celebration

I was so, so thrilled to travel to Youngstown, Ohio for Asheley and Brian’s Labor Day weekend wedding celebration! Asheley and Brian came to me through mutual friends and we’ve fast become friends ourselves. They’ve been such a pleasure to work with, so accommodating throughout the process and on the wedding day! They even sent us an invite in the mail (with one of the pictures I shot during their engagement session!), and treated us as guests every step of the way. Love these two!

Our day started at the St. Angela Merici church in downtown Youngstown, with getting ready and detail pictures, leading right up to the ceremony. Following their outdoor exit and family portraits, we jumped right into a party bus for pictures around town! We had awesome locations picked out for pictures – a cute urban alley with nearby train tracks, and the rose garden at Fellows Riverside Gardens. The rose gardens were impeccably kept and were a perfect compliment to their red-dressed wedding party – subtle Buckeye theme! In between to escape the heat, we stopped at Mexican restaurant for some margaritas!

Arriving at the site of their reception, Palermo Banquet Hall, Asheley and Brian were announced by rushing through a banner, wearing Buckeye jerseys and with the Buckeye battle cry in the background. It was awesome! Their party was so much fun – even included a traditional Greek plate breaking ceremony that *all* their guests participated in – no worries, they were all candy plates! Congratulations to Asheley and Brian!!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
