Katie + Dave: Columbus Ohio Creekside Wedding Photographer

I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect wedding day for Katie and Dave! They are two of the sweetest people I’ve been lucky to meet as a wedding photographer. To see two genuinely nice people such as them come together and make a commitment to one another – and have the privilege to photograph their engagement and special day – has been such a truly wonderful experience.

I had my assistant Katie with me for the day, so we split up – I started my day with the girls at Creekside – the site of their reception later that day – and Katie met up with the boys at a private residence nearby. We did some separates pictures at each location, and then everyone came together at Hilltop Church for the ceremony – full of lots of tears and laughter.

Following family portraits at the church, the wedding party headed to Creekside for formals all together and couples portraits of just Katie and Dave. I just love this point in the day, when it’s just the couple and I, we have a calm, quiet break in the craziness of the day and they can really just take it all in. Plus, it was the perfect time of day for warm light and we got it!

The rest of the evening was pure fun – lots of music, dancing and love. Katie and I had the best time ever with Katie and Dave, and their awesome friends and family. Also, the food was amazing – Mac & cheese all the way!

Katie and Dave, thank you for inviting us to capture your very special day!

And yes, that is a real butterfly on her bouquet below!

Amy Ann Photography

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
