Heather + Ryan | Jewish Wedding

At Heather’s wedding a few Sundays ago, I had two special responsibilities – first, I was a bridesmaid. As her sister-in-law, I walked down the aisle and stood next to her as she married Ryan at Temple Shearith Israel in Ridgefield, CT. But when it came to the rest of the day, I was the photographer – which, after all, is my wedding responsibility of choice. Heather and Ryan couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful day for their wedding, and their family and friends came together in a wonderful celebration. Every aspect of the wedding was carefully planned and brought to life by Heather and Ryan themselves; I especially loved, and appreciated, the surprise blood orange and lemon sorbet treats, brought out well after cake was served. Congratulations on a beautiful day, Heather and Ryan, and may you enjoy a lifetime of happiness.

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
