Starting with their January 2021 surprise proposal, continuing with their fall 2021 engagement session, and finally their May 2022 wedding: getting to be a part of Felicia + Kenny’s love story has been special indeed, because they’re my friends too! And they wanted me to capture their big day so much, that even though I was already booked for another wedding the morning of their date, they were willing to make it work. And yes, I ended up shooting two weddings that day!
My assistant Steve started with them at the Hilton Easton as I finished up the wedding I had booked that morning. I got there just after the first look, just in time for portraits! Being that I’m also friends with most of the bridesmaids, it felt like more than fun than work. But it was a hot day, so we did escape the sun and heat for some portraits inside the hotel. Luckily the Hilton Easton has lots of beautiful and bright spaces to work with indoors.
We also got family portraits out of the way, and then it was time for the Jewish pre-ceremony events: the kabbalbat panim, tisch, ketubah signing and bedeken. And onto the ceremony in the ballroom! The space was beautifully designed and their ceremony was sweet and meaningful. They broke the glass, kissed and exited the aisle as newlyweds. And then it was time to party!
Guests celebrated all night with formal dances, toasts, dinner, and a high-energy hora. Bluewater Kings band kept the dance floor packed all night! Mazel Tov to Felicia and Kenny!
