A surprise wedding! That’s exactly what David and Glenn’s family had in store when they were in town for another family reunion, one year ago today. They followed instructions from the couple, who live locally, to meet them on the steps of Veteran’s Memorial for a family photoshoot. The couple – who were already married months ago while on vacation, but kept it a secret for all time – got ready with a few friends at Hotel LeVeque next door, with a perfect view of the ceremony site. As a crowd gathered, David and Glenn stepped out together with their pup and their closest pals, and myself with the camera. It wasn’t the presence of a photographer that gave it away, but rather the two dressed in suits walking hand-in-hand. The reactions were as special as you could imagine, as the couple walked past their shocked family members and directly up to the steps for their ceremony! Afterwards we did do those family portraits as promised, as well as a few “just married” portraits with David and Glenn against the golden hour light. This was such a fun event to capture, and with the couple’s blessing I’m so thrilled to be sharing a few of my favorites from that evening, exactly one year later to the day!
