I don’t think I can say it enough times: I absolutely love shooting proposals! There is so much anticipation, anxiety and emotion all rolled up into one moment! There is quite a bit of planning involved on my part with the person popping the question, just to make sure I’m in the right place at the right time to capture the moment as it happens – and her reaction – while remaining as hidden and discreet as possible, so they can still have that moment uninterrupted.
Katie and Zach’s winter surprise proposal in Schiller Park went perfectly – she had clue it was about to happen, and when he asked, she said yes! And I was there to capture it all!
Also, we couldn’t plan for it, but we definitely lucked out with a beautiful snowy day and warm light as the sun set that evening!
