Emily + Adam: Columbus Ohio German Village Engagement Session

Emily and Adam were such a delight to photograph for their engagement session! Adam currently lives out in Kentucky, so he came into town for the session. Emily chose the German Village because she loved the architecture and charm, and I must say it continues to be one of my favorite areas of Columbus to photograph! It seems that I discover new cool areas everytime I explore the neighborhood with a couple. Emily and Adam’s engagement session was my first for the fall season, and though it was an overcast day, the rain held off and we were able to get some great pictures in some of back alleys and brick paved streets. We also stopped over in Shiller Park (where we found a Buckeye tree!) and ended our session with some iced coffee at Cup O Joe! I enjoyed meeting Adam for the first time and learning more about their wedding plans for next summer in Canton.

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
