Sunday of Labor Day weekend, always one of the most epic days of the wedding season! Indeed, Labor Day weekend weddings have no chill in my experience. Hannah + Jeff’s big day was a joyful, high energy Jewish celebration up in Cleveland! Smiles never left their faces all day, it’s hard to imagine two people having more fun on their wedding day!
The Marriott at Key Center is in the heart of downtown Cleveland, and probably the venue I’ve been at most in the city. I was thrilled to be back, and working alongside none other than another Columbus colleague of mine, Little Tree Studios on video. Once both sides were dressed, we staged their First Look out by the fountain just steps away from the hotel. Back to back, they read letters from each other before seeing each other for the first time. Their wedding party joined as we explored the area for portraits.
Then it was back to their venue for family portraits, and a very lively tisch and ketubah signing. And now it was time to get married! Under the chuppah, they were married by none other than rabbi Elle, whose wedding I photographed back in 2015, and whose family I continued to photograph in the years since.
From there, the celebration commenced! Cocktail hour, intros, formal dances, cake cutting, toasts and an over-the-top hora! This day was a non-stop party from beginning to end, and the energy was truly inspiring. Mazel Tov!
