Franklin Park Conservatory Wedding: Sarah + Ernie

Sarah + Ernie: two caring, compassionate, inclusive, sensitive souls. Not afraid to share their gifts and their emotions with their people. It was a sweet summer day at Franklin Park Conservatory that reflected all these qualities and more!

We began our day on the first Saturday in June getting ready at Sarah’s friends beautiful German Village home. Once dressed, we first staged a first look with her moms, followed by her first look with Ernie. From there we walked around the block for portraits of the couple and the wedding party. I realized we weren’t far from the iconic blue wall at High Line Car House, and given their wedding colors were blue, I couldn’t resist using it for a few pics!

Then we headed to their venue, Franklin Park Conservatory. We finished up the rest of their portraits, including family, before their ceremony in the Palm House. Even though Sarah and Ernie had a first look, the walk down the aisle was one of the most emotional I’ve seen!

Then it was onto the party! We celebrated with a first dance, dinner, toasts, cake and a full dance floor. We ended the night with some epic night shots outside the Palm House. Congratulations to Sarah and Ernie! Their day was truly unforgettable!

I aim to capture moments and expressions that tell the story of a day, and are authentic to the people involved. If you can look at a collection of images I’ve taken of a total stranger and get a feeling for who they are and what they felt, then I’ve done my job!
