SOLAR ECLIPSE WEDDING! Douglas + Jeff planned their entire wedding around the big event last month, and were rewarded with clear skies and an epic view! It was the second Monday in April, when these two grooms gathered with family and friends at Retreat 21 in Marysville, where they viewed the eclipse in totality, then proceeded into their rainbow Celtic ceremony just as light returned! (In particular, capturing both the eclipse itself and portraits during the eclipse, in the 3 minutes time of totality, was a new and unique challenge for me!)
Their celebration continued with dinner, toasts and dessert. We ended our time together with some golden hour portraits, taking advantage of all the amazing light of the day!
This was absolutely one of the most unique wedding experiences I think I’ll ever be a part of – a once in a lifetime total eclipse of the heart!
