On a cold Sunday morning in late November, we celebrated the Maddie’s! I’ve known Maddie F for many years and I was honored to capture her and Maddie C’s big day. And not just any wedding day, but a brunch-themed, queer Jewish wedding in a historic library!
Indeed, our day began before the sun came up, getting ready at a home in German Village. Maddie and Maddie got ready together, and once both were dressed we headed off to Lithopolis. Arriving at Wagnall’s Memorial Library, I took in all the colorful details being set up, and we captured as many of their portraits as we could before events began. It was very cold, but sunny, and the brides toughed out the temps for the dreamy light!
Their ketubah signing followed, and then their ceremony under the chuppah, surrounded by about 30 friends and family, and many more books. What a dream of a backdrop in this historic library full of charm! The celebration continued with a brunch meal, drinks, toasts, a shoe game, cake and a few more portraits to end the day. I loved this day and I couldn’t love these brides more. Mazel Tov!
