A perfect, but windy, fall wedding day! I’ve known McKenzie for many years, so I was so excited to hear from her once she was engaged to Kayla! Married at Jefferson Country Club in Blacklick on the third Friday in October, they still incorporated some offsite portraits to make their day uniquely theirs and full of fun.
We began at McKenzie’s parents’ home in Blacklick, just down the road from their venue. The brides were together for hair & makeup, which made for some cute candid moments. But they separated when it came time to get dressed, and came back together for their first look on the front porch. Which was so cute, with pumpkins at their feet! Their pups joined for a few portraits too.
Then we headed down the street to Jefferson Country Club for portraits with their wedding party against all the fall color (and lots of wind, too), before heading offsite to Edison Brewery for some beers with just the two of them! I always love carving out some alone time for the couple, away from everyone for a little bit. We had a great time out there, just slowing down and taking in the day.
Back at the venue, it was time to get married! McKenzie and Kayla were married outside against the golf course and the sunny day. Afterwards, it was time to party! But not before getting some golden hour portraits in, of course. After dinner, toasts, cake cutting and first dances, they danced the night away. We ended the night with some night shots on the patio against the strung lights and their ceremony site, still set up from earlier. Cheers to the brides!
These photos are amazing and truly capture how beautiful Kayla and McKenzie’s wedding was that day. 🙂
What an amazing job capturing all of the momentous moments of the day. I am beyond words impressed!
