I love Hocking Hills weddings!! This year I’ve been lucky enough to capture a few of them. Megan + Daniel got married in a small wedding at a cabin on the 1st of November.
It was very much a picturesque fall day in the Hills, except for that that it was windy. VERY windy. So windy, that it made 40 degrees seem super cold, and it knocked out the power! This created some unexpected issues (try doing your makeup in the dark? Streaming your wedding over Zoom with no wifi?), but truly, nothing could stop these two from getting married that day! With enough of the most important issues resolved, Megan and Daniel proceeded with their outdoor ceremony, and thankfully they already planned ahead by providing blankets for all! (Megan’s dad jumped into the ceremony halfway through to drape her in one – she needed it!)
Afterwards, we celebrated with portraits, toasts, a cake cutting and dinner. They even made me my very own table for one, which was so incredibly thoughtful. In so many ways, this wedding really encompassed so much of 2020 for me – despite all the obstacles, last minute curveballs and stress – these two made it happen and it was beautiful. In particular, I’ve known Daniel for many years, and it warmed my heart to see him so happy. Congratulations to these two and their family!
