Kayla + Sara have been amazing to get to know and to work with, ever since they first reached out! They brought me to Florida for their engagement session this past winter, which was such a great escape, how I could not love them?! When it came time for their August wedding, this time I was traveling north – 3 hours away to the Avalon Golf Club in Hermitage, PA.
No matter how much you plan, sometimes your wedding day plans change on a whim and you just roll with it! Going into their wedding day, the couple had planned not to do a first look. But as we looked at the radar for the day, we saw likely rain clouds rolling in just after their ceremony, during their planned portrait time. For most couples not planning to do a first look, this isn’t negotiable. But they decided to go ahead and see each other before the ceremony so they could have as much dry time for portraits as possible. And it made for such a sweet moment!
It did actually sprinkle on us a bit during the portrait time, but this just gave us more time with cute umbrellas! And as the storm looked to be coming in quickly, the couple made another last-minute change, and started their ceremony 7 minutes early! They had the outdoor ceremony they always envisioned, and beat the storm by minutes!
Later on into their reception, the storm cleared and the sun came through, this time bringing gorgeous golden hour light. So we took advantage! And they didn’t even mind going out for one last night shot. What an awesome day with these two! Congratulations to Kayla and Sara!
