I can’t begin to express what a pleasure it’s been working with Kathleen + Brad, from their downtown rooftop engagement last fall to their summer wedding last month! But first, they had me join to capture their beautiful rehearsal dinner at a friend’s home in East Columbus. The next day, I joined them for their big day at Rocky Fork Hunt & Country Club in Gahanna. A new location for me, this spot is like a hidden gem in the eastern Columbus suburbs, and once there it doesn’t even feel like you’re in Ohio anymore!
The couple chose not to see each other before their ceremony, so once dressed, my assistant Steve and I got some separate portraits done at the same time at different parts of the property. Once Kathleen came down the aisle, Brad had some tears! Afterwards, we completed the rest of their portraits during cocktail hour, until some surprise rain cut it a bit short! But even with the 20% chance of rain forecasted, I still had my clear umbrella with me, so we were able to get a few more portraits in before the reception began.
During dinner, the rain cleared and made way for some golden hour light, and thankfully Kathleen and Brad took me up on more portraits out on the pool deck. After dinner and toasts, the dance floor opened outside on the patio and everyone rocked the night away under the stars. Congratulations to Kathleen and Brad!
