Jill and Rob planned a small intimate elopement in Hocking Hills on a Thursday evening in early May, and I was so lucky to be invited along to capture it! Hocking Hills is truly one of my favorite places, in fact my family and I plan a getaway there every spring. The couple rented out a cabin and invited about 20 of their closest friends and family to join them. The forecast called for rain all week, and didn’t improve much before their big day. But on the day-of, the timing shifted slightly, allowing for a first look, a ceremony in the woods and additional portraits – all outdoors, before the rain began. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect! Their celebratory meal, prepared by their family, was out on the covered deck of their cabin, shielded from the rain. They even obliged me for a couple shots in the rain with my umbrella before my time with them was through. Afterwards, they invited me to join them for dinner before my trip back to Columbus. After their elopement, the couple headed to Yellowstone for their honeymoon, and I couldn’t be more jealous. Congratulations to Jill and Rob!
