It was a chilly Monday afternoon in mid-November when I waited on the Main Street Bridge at Scioto Mile for Tarah + Azeez to make their way over! They were going for a walk before heading out for a date, little did Tarah know that Azeez had a surprise planned. Being a chilly day, there was no one else around, so I played it cool – pretending to take pictures of the downtown skyline before approaching them for a portrait request – this let me be close to them as Azeez dropped to one knee! Tarah was totally surprised and even moreso when her parents appeared! Afterwards we went for a quick walk at Scioto Mile for additional portraits, where the setting sun and city lights made for some dramatic protraits. Then I followed them to the Guild House restaurant in the Short North for a couple night shots before dinner. It was an honor to capture this special moment for Tarah and Azeez, congratulations!
