Jenna + Ashley are such a chill couple, I knew their wedding day would be so sweet and laid-back! We had a perfectly beautiful sunny day for their big day in downtown Columbus.
My second shooter Steve and I met up with the couple on a Friday afternoon in mid-July, beginning with preparations for the day at the Joseph hotel in the Short North. We split up to cover each side equally, before the couple’s First Look in a nearby alley. Together with their wedding party, we shot their portraits in the Short North neighborhood and also at nearby Goodale Park. From there, they hopped on the Bexley Beat and headed to their wedding venue, the Grange Insurance Audubon Center for additional portraits! Such a gorgeous park and fun architecture, this venue is one of my favorites in Columbus.
Their outdoor ceremony followed, as Ashley and Jenna were married by one of their close friends against a backdrop of paper cranes. After a few more portraits in the golden hour light, the party continued inside with toasts, dinner, cupcakes and dancing. Not be to be outdone, a rainbow showed up during dinnertime and we ran back outside for another awesome shot! Then the couple and their guests partied the night away! Congratulations ladies!
