Katie + Zac’s late-April wedding day was spring in every way, from morning showers to spring blooms. They came to me from prior client-friends Elizabeth + Matthew, whose wedding I shot several years ago, so spending the day with them was kind of like hanging with old friends! They were one of my first weddings booked for 2017 and I was looking forward to it for a long time.
We began our day at their reception venue, Brookside Golf & Country Club, where each side got ready. It was raining when I first arrived, but showers ended just in time for their outdoor First Look on the back patio overlooking the course. And the rain never returned for the rest of the day!
We continued with portraits their wedding party at Brookside, then jumped in the limo to head downtown. First stop was at the Main Street bridge for some shots against the skyline, and then to their church, St. Francis of Assisi, in Victorian Village.
My assistant Jen met us at the church and helped cover a few hours of the day, so we got some great balcony shots during their Catholic ceremony! This was followed by their outdoor exit, and then we headed back to Brookside for their reception!
At their reception, guests joined them for dinner, cake cutting, their first dance, and a surprise ice cream bar! It was truly a fabulous day. Thank you to Katie + Zac for inviting me to be a part of it!
