Ally and John’s Columbus wedding at the Blackwell on Ohio State’s campus was my very first wedding booked for 2015, and they probably booked me further out than any other couple before! So they had plenty of time to craft their vision for their wedding and put together a plan for their perfect day. As they say, even the best laid plans… unfortunately, mother nature had different plans. Just 15 minutes before their planned outdoor ceremony, the sky opened up and it began to pour. It was in mid-June right in the middle of what would become the rainiest season I and many Columbus wedding photographers have ever experienced, and this day in particular was messing with our minds – rain one minute, beautiful sun the next. Ally and John were optimistic and tried for an outdoor ceremony since it was clear and beautiful for so much of the day. But thankfully, I had an awesome couple who took the rain in stride and moved their ceremony indoors. The party went on! Ally and John did not let the weather get in the way of enjoying their big day with their family and friends. And we were lucky that the storms passed through quickly, so we had plenty of time for outdoor portraits both before and after the ceremony!
I had a blast celebrating with Ally and John and so many familiar faces! Congratulations!!
