Elle and Vlad live in New York, but from the moment they booked we were constantly comparing schedules for when we’d find ourselves in the same city. Finally it all worked out while they were visiting family in Cincinnati over Passover. I welcomed the opportunity to take a day trip to Cincinnati and shoot in a city new to me! Elle and I have a lot of mutual friends and client-friends; I’ve seen her at several weddings over the years, and I’ve always had a feeling if we lived in the same city, we might actually have been friends too! With that personal connection through knowing so many of the same people, and with her bubbly outgoing personality, reconnecting with her at her engagement session was much like hanging out with an old friend. It was at their engagement that I met her fiance Vlad for the first time, and we bonded over our Russian backgrounds, our families and upbringing. I’m not afraid to throw out some commands in Russian if needed! As we explored Cincinnati from the Roebling Bridge, to Eden Park and Krohn Conservatory, and ending with a few blocks of Over-the-Rhine, Elle and Vlad shared with me more details about their Savannah Center wedding this October – can’t wait to return to Cincinnati to capture their big day!
